RIDGE SPRING, SC - Mr. John L. Tanks passed away on June 8 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services for John Tanks will be held 12 noon Monda at the Science Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Lorenzo Williams, Pastor and the Bishop Alfred Williams, officiating, Bishop Alvin Ligons, eulogist. Interment will be in the Bacon Chapel Holiness Church's Cemetery.
He is survived by a wife, Mrs. Annie L. Tanks of the home, siblings, James Tanks, Joe (Barbara) Tanks, and Albert "Deke" (Bay) Tanks, all of Trenton, SC; Luvenia "Jean" Tanks, Anderson, SC, Earline (Oscar) Cartrell, Aiken,SC, Lillie (Rev. Walter) Martin, New York, and Otis (Tammy) Tanks' Atlanta, Ga; sisters-in-law, Bessie Gomillion, Ruthie (Rev. Alvin) Ligons, and Mary (Fred) Elam, all of Ridge Spring , SC, brothers, in-law, Hazel (Inez) Smith and James (Dorothy) Smith, both of Johnston, SC, two sisters-in-law, Grace Smith and Doris Smith, both of Aiken, SC and three god-children, Travis Gomillion, Antwan Gomillion and TeCora Galloway.
