John Overstreet
LANGLEY - Mr. John H. Overstreet, 77, of Langley, SC, husband of the late Marian A. Overstreet, entered into rest on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Born in Augusta, GA, he and Marian had been residents of St. Petersburg, FL, before coming back home in 1961. He was a son of Chester and Ann Tullis Heyward. He retired from Gillam and Associates after twenty years of service as a Superintendent. Mr. Overstreet enjoyed traveling, fishing and going to Friday morning breakfast with the boys from the "Has Been Club". More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren,
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Timothy Overstreet, Langley, SC, Troy W. Overstreet and his wife, Jessica, Aiken, SC and Tracy D. Odom and her husband, James, Aiken, SC; siblings, Joseph Heyward, Prosperity, SC, Peggy Mays, Martinez, GA, Susan Shelley, Coral Gables, FL, the late Mickey Heyward and the late Bill Lewis, daughter-in-law, Beth Overstreet, Langley, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan Overstreet, Megan Plunkett, Monica Overstreet, Taylor Odom, Halle Odom, Amelia Overstreet, Sophia Overstreet and Olivia Overstreet and great-granddaughters, Annalise and Kinsleigh Plunkett.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 11 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Pastor Wesley Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC.
