A Hero Remembered 6/12/1993 - 1/30/2018
Born Morristown, NJ. Grew up in Whippany, NJ. Joseph earned the rank of Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 155 in 2011, he followed his passion for computer design and graduated, Cum Laude, from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2016. Joe worked as a Web Designer and Technical Artist for Interactive Data Visualization-Speedtree, in Lexington SC. He purchased his first home in Lexington, SC, in December 2017. Joe suffered a stroke in 1997 at age 4 that left him a hemiplegic. Though he had no use of his left arm or hand, his disability did not stop him from achieving his goals. He was an inspiration to all who knew him, Kind, Caring, Brave, Intelligent, and Compassionate. Joe was the victim of a homicide by strangulation at 6:45 PM, January 25, 2018 in Columbia, SC (in Irmo). As of March 8th there was no word of any suspects charged in his death.
Joseph is survived by his father Kenneth P. Titterton, Mother and Step Father Karen and Miroslaw Karlak Jr. Sister and Brother in law Jessica and David Gladkowski, Brother Michael Titterton, and Grandmother Dorothy Shubert.
