COUCHTON, SC - A celebration of life service of Mr.
Kenneth Wayne Adams, Sr. will be held 4:00 pm Sunday June 28, 2015 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Dewayne Anderson officiating. A private family burial will take place at Beaver Creek Baptist Church, Neeses, SC with military honors accorded by the Navel Ceremonial Team.
Mr. Adams entered into rest Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Mrs. Joann Chavis Adams and a son of the late Mr. Bailey David Adams and the late Mrs. Bertie Lee Davis Adams. Mr. Adams was a native of Charleston, SC and lived his early years in Norway, SC, had made Aiken County his home for the past 43 years. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having been stationed on the USS Dewey during the Cuban Missile Crises. He had retired in 2001 from Owens Corning Fiberglass, Aiken with 32 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Local chapter # 509, Aiken, a former Vice Chief of the Beaver Creek Indians, Salley, and a member of Couchton Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include one son, Kenneth Wayne (Amber) Adams, Aiken; two daughters, Cindy Dianne
(Anthony) Disko, Arlington, TX, Kimberly Jo (T.L.)
Cadden, Aiken; seven brothers, G.W. Adams, Elloree, Charles Adams, Orangeburg, Richard Adams, West Columbia, Gene Adams, Springfield, Cecil Adams, North, Jimmy Adams, Orangeburg, and Roger Adams, of North Carolina; three sisters, Vernetta Willis, Midland, NC, Marjorie Smith, Orangeburg, Sandra Hinkle, St. Matthews; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Barron, Kristin Barron, Taylor Holley, Matthew Barron, Annabelle Cadden, Trey Cadden, and Kimberlin Adams; and one great-grandchild, David Derrick. Mr. Adams was also predeceased by two brothers, David and Cebie Adams, and one sister. Mary Frances Hall.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Grice, Ted Hatcher, Anthony Adams, Brian Adams, Tim Adams, and Greg Adams.
The family would like to express gratitude of thanks to Hospice Care of Tri County for their compassionate care that was given.
