Kyarash "Nick" Amini
HUNTERSVILLE, NC - Kyarash "Nick" Amini, 49, of Huntersville died March 11, 2016 with his family by his side. Nick's strength, positive outlook and ultimate faith carried him through a courageous 9 month battle against cancer.
Nick was born February 6, 1967 in Tehran, Iran to Esmaeil and Nahid Amini. He attended boarding school in Derbyshire, England before moving to Aiken, SC in 1979.
Nick graduated from South Aiken High School and received his BA from the University of South Carolina.
Nick relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1987 where he began his real estate career. Nick met his wife, Tamara, in 1999 and they have lived together in Huntersville for 17 years.
Nick was survived by his parents; his wife, Tamara Baynes Amini; their sons Aidan (10) and Alexander (8); his brother, Ray; niece, Lexie and nephew, Sammy; uncle, Saeid Momeni of Dallas; In-Laws, John and Sherry Baynes of Huntersville; Chris and Angela Baynes and daughter Alyssa of Wilmington.
As a child, Nick was fun-loving and fearless, often engaging in "daredevil" stunts. He loved skateboarding, playing basketball and hanging out with friends at Gem Lake. Nick became a loyal Gamecock football fan since attending college at the "real Carolina".
As a young adult, Nick spent most of his time playing and/or watching sports and hanging out with friends at the Beacon Hill Apartments.
Sports continued to play a central theme in Nick's life as he started coaching Aidan and Alex as they began playing soccer, basketball and flag football.
Nick had a charming, charismatic and engaging personality, thus became fast friends with anyone he met. He was known for his sense of humor, contagious laugh and "mega-watt" smile that was as big as his heart. Nick was a funny and loyal friend who could always be counted on for a good laugh, a good talk or a helping hand.
As a family man, Nick was very loving, caring and giving - always giving hugs and kisses, saying "I love you", checking on us, worrying about us and doing the little things to make our lives easier. By far, the biggest priority and accomplishment in his life was being a dedicated and involved father.
Nick had a successful career in real estate spanning over 25 years, most recently as a broker/owner of Amini & Associates and investor in the Keller Williams Reality Cornelius Market Center.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be made in Nick's honor to the or Pediatric Specialty Care Levine Children's Hospital
