LeAnn Derry Dragano
AIKEN, SC - LeAnn Derry Dragano, 47, beloved wife of Glenn Alan Dragano, died Thursday, April 09, 2015 at her residence.
A native of Charleston, SC, LeAnn was a daughter of David Lee and Tommie McCranie Derry. She graduated from Middleton High School in Charleston and received a BA in Education from the University of North Florida. LeAnn formerly was a full time teacher of Special Needs Children while in Florida and was a substitute teacher at Chukker Creek Elementary School after moving to Aiken. She was a former Den Mother with the Cub Scouts of America. LeAnn was the Chairperson for the Support People with Oral Head and Neck Cancer at Georgia Regents University and was volunteer faculty lecturing students on long term care of clinically ill patients and caregivers. She was a member of Cedar Creek Church where she served in the Hearing Impaired Ministry and was a Home Group leader. She was also active with Project Graduation and was currently serving as treasurer.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Glenn, include three sons, David A. Dragano (Stephanie), Garrett L. Dragano and Ryan G. Dragano; a granddaughter, Reagan Miskelly all of Aiken; her parents, David and
Tommie Derry, Walterboro, SC; a brother, Mark L. Derry, Walterboro, SC; a sister, Gina M. Derry (Cathy M. Stone), Summerton, SC.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning beginning at 10 o'clock at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus followed by the memorial service at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Phillip Lee will officiate.
