Lee Edward Salvo
JACKSON, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. Lee Edward Salvo, age 76 will be held 1:00 pm Saturday May 6, 2017 at Matlock Baptist Church, Jackson, SC with Rev. Mark Riser Officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the U.S. States army ceremonial team. Mr. Salvo entered into rest Wednesday May 3, 2017 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Mrs. Marie Pauley Salvo and a son of the late Mr. James Salvo and the late Mrs. Helen Wilson Salvo. Mr. Salvo was a native of Ohatchee, Alabama and had made Aiken County his home for the past 53 years. He had retired in 2001 at Owens-Corning Fiberglass with 38 years of service as a machinist. Mr. Salvo was a veteran of the U.S. States Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post # 97, Jackson and Matlock Baptist Church, Jackson. Additional survivors include one son, Eddie (Pam) Salvo, Barnwell; one daughter, Melinda (Fiance' Wesley Fralick), Foster, Aiken; four sisters, Barbara (Roger) Feenstra, Weaver, AL, Alice Martin, Glencoe, AL, Cricket (Cecil) Freeman, Bynum, AL, Frankie (Davie) Roberts, Weaver, AL; one brother-in-law, Dennis Pauley, Toccoa, GA; three grandchildren, Krystal (Fiance' Scott King) Salvo, Warrenville, Justin Salvo, Jackson, Chase Foster, Aiken; one great grandson, Kason King. Mr. Salvo was also predeceased by two brothers, Billy and Robert Salvo, one sister, Joyce Burford and one sister-in-law, Janie Fields Pauley. Pallbearers will be Bob Hamn, John Miller, Wendell Mims, Bob Messer, Charlie Kelly. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Matlock Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund, 980 Main Street, Jackson, SC 29831. A visitation with the family will be held 11:00 am-12:30 pm Saturday May 6, 2017 at Matlock Baptist Church, Jackson, SC, 29831.The church will be open at 10:00 am Saturday to receive Floral Deliveries.
