Lee W. Hanks
North Augusta, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. Lee W. Hanks, 63, of North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest December 13, 2016, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Sweetwater Baptist Church.
Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating. Interment in the Sweetwater Cemetery.
Mr. Hanks was a life-long resident of the North Augusta area. He was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Cemetery Committee and an Usher. Mr. Hanks was one the area's foremost authority on Volkswagens and was the owner of Hanks Imports. He was an avid Clemson fan and was a Life Donor to IPTAY and loved animals.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Lynne Daniel Hanks; a son, David Lee Hanks, Augusta; a grandson, David Lee Hanks, Jr.; a sister and her husband, Mary Sue Hanks and Kevin Schmidt, Aiken.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Men's #1 Sunday School Class. Active Pallbearers will be Tillman Miller, Dick O'Driscoll, Dave McClain, Steve Lanham, Jim Reece and Mike Mock.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening from 6 until 8.
