Lillie Lind
Beech Island - Mrs. Lillie M. Washington Lind, of Emory Drive, entered into rest August 17, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan K. Jones officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lind, a native of Aiken County was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson High School. She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she served as president of the gospel choir and deaconess ministry. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Lind; three sons, Nelson (Lisa) Washington, Tony (Althea) Love and Sterrick (Victoria) Lind; a brother, Johnny L. Washington; three sisters, Martha Holloway, Ann (Calvin) Lark and Florence (Henry) Cooper; mother-in-law, Hattie Mae Lind;13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
