Lillie Mae Sanders Mays
GLOVERVILLE, SC - Lillie Mae Sanders Mays, age 87, of Gloverville, S.C., daughter of the late Bennie Sanders and the late Bernice Clark Briggs, entered into rest at her residence on Thursday, June 2, 2016.
She is survived by a son, Raymond Baker, Jr. of Madison, Alabama; daughters, Carol Eustace and Joan Spradley both of Gloverville, S.C.; a brother, Jackie Sanders of Graniteville, S.C.; sisters, Elaine Proctor and Peggy Cumbee both of Warrenville, S.C. and Bobbie King of Aiken, S.C.; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She retired from Graniteville Company. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 87 years that God granted her on this earth; however, death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly Home where the soul never dies, and we never have to say goodbye. Earth's loss is truly Heaven's gain.
A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Sonya Mazzell and Rev. Ritchie Proctor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Langley Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Ray Baker, Brian Norris, Jason Welch, David Eustace, Owen Kelley and Paul Mazzell. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St. Graniteville, S.C. 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
