Lou Royster
AUGUSTA, GA - Mrs. Lou Edwards Royster, 88, entered into rest Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2016, at 3:00 P.M., from the First Chrisitan Church of Belvdere with the Reverend Milton Summeral officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the church.
Mrs. Royster was a native of Lawtey, FL and the daughter of the late William Howell and Mamie Lou Edwards. She began her career at the Georgia Railroad Bank where she was a member of the Gold G Club and she had retired from the First Union Bank as a Secretary. Mrs. Royster was a member of the First Christian Church of Belvedere where she was able to use her classically trained voice to sing in the choir. She loved to travel and to go to the beach, she was a very involved, wonderful, caring and devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Lou Worthy, Sue Quattlebaum and her husband Tim; sons, William R. "Billy" Royster, III and his wife Marian and Michael Howell Royster and his wife Melanie; her sisters, Mary Edwards Rahn and Ada Edwards Reddish; her grandchildren, Wendy Leigh Dunell, Justin Travis Worthy, Michael Howell Royster, Jr., Dr. William "Will" R. Royster, IV, Melissa Q. Williams, Matthew Ryan Royster and April R. Petersen; as well as seven great grandchildren.
