Margaret Jean Bennett
AUGUSTA, GA - Graveside Services for Mrs. Margaret Jean Bennett, 87, who entered into rest February 20, 2014, will be conducted this Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Westover Memorial Park. Rev. Roy Kiser officiating.
Mrs. Bennett was a native of Pender, North Carolina having made North Augusta and Augusta her long-time residence. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta where she taught Children's Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Sheffield Club. Mrs. Bennett retired as an Administrative Assistant from the Medical College of Georgia with over 25 years of service.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Margie Bennett, Edgefield, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Bruce Bland, Edgefield, SC and Kathy and Jerry Ives, North Augusta, SC; two brothers, Herbert Best, Wilmington, NC and Clyde Best, Spring Hope, NC; a sister, Louise Ammons, Sanford, NC; three grandchildren, Misty Stephens, Meredith Rushton and Brenna King; four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
