TRENTON, SC - Mrs. Margie C. Blackmon, 79, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015.
Born in Wrens, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, for the past thirty-one years, she was a daughter of the late William and Lula Belle Gay Cave. She was formerly employed by the former TRW, now Greenfield Industries and retired from S.R.S. Mrs. Blackmon a member of Mid-Valley Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing and she also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents, family members include her daughters, Terry Patrick and her husband, Mike, Clarks Hill, SC, Cynthia McKee and her husband, Randy, Trenton, SC, the late Gayla Easler and her husband, Butch, Johnston, SC and Bonnie Swint and her husband, Larry, Augusta, GA; siblings, Marie Holley, Martinez, GA, Judson Gay, Augusta, GA, W.L. Cave, Mystic, CT, Judy Thompson, Sherman, TX and Macy Maddox, Conley, GA; grandchildren, Samantha Coe, Winter Mitchell, Elizabeth McPherson, Mark Dillman, Rose Hartley and Joshua Johnson, nine great-grandchildren and a very dear friend, Libby Watts.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 29th, 2015, at 11 o'clock at Mid-Valley Baptist, Graniteville, SC, with Pastor Stan Adams officiating. Mrs. Blackmon will be placed in the church at 10 o'clock on Saturday. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, GA. Pallbearers will be Joshua Johnson, Chad McPherson, Mark Dillman, Steve Eubanks, Steve Boyd, Rollie Hamilton and Jason Sikes.
