Mary Bullock Thompson
ALABASTER, AL - Mary Bullock Thompson, 88 yrs. of age passed away on July 9, 2016, in Alabaster, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 yrs, A. W. (Tommy) Thompson. They had four children; Edward E. (Patty), Atlanta, GA, Janet (John Baldwin), Aiken, SC, Jeffrey W (Beth), Alabaster, AL and L. Dale, Alabaster, AL.
Prior to moving to Aiken, SC in 1971, she was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Hueytown, AL, later moving to St. John's United Methodist Church in Aiken where she was involved with her Circle meetings and fund raisers. Her health declined and they moved back to Alabama approximately five years ago.
She has eight grandchildren; Brian, Kristen, Natalie, Ashton, Melissa, Megan, April and Brantley. She has five great-grandchildren; Joshua, Austin, Easton, Mila and Emma. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Jean Cassidy.
Mrs. Thompson enjoyed many things, one of which was being President of The Little League Baseball Teams for several years. She was always involved with everything her children wanted to do. She started playing the piano at five years old; loved reading, traveling and camping, never meeting a stranger. She also loved to cook and bake. She always had smiles and hugs for everyone.
We love you Mother and miss you already. Our hearts will always be with you.
