Mary Dimsdale Bartley
CLEARWATER, SC - A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Mary Dimsdale Bartley, 77, lovingly known as "Ma", who went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, October 12, 2014, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Faith Holiness Church in Clear-water, SC. Pastor Floyd Hutto and Pastor Carol McGrew officiating.
Mrs. Bartley was the daughter of the late Joseph "Jody" Dimsdale and Lucille Hughes, and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She retired from Avondale Mills in Graniteville, SC, where she worked in Data Processing. Mrs. Bartley was a member of Faith Holinepaidss Church in Clearwater, enjoyed playing the piano, writing gospel songs and loved teaching songs to children to sing in church.
Survivors include two daughters, Christy B. Cole-man, Clearwater and Vickie Shumpert, North Augusta; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Lyn Bartley, Clearwater, a brother, Charles Dimsdale, Clearwater; her loving and faithful companion, Eddie Wilson, Clearwater; eight grandchildren, Bryan Cole-man, Rickey Knight (Kayla), Christopher Knight (Jessica), Ernie Shumpert (Jennifer), Keith Bartley (Jennifer), Brandon Bartley, Tiffany Bartley and Emily White; eight great-grandchildren, Sandra Coleman, Rickey Knight, Jr., Krislyn Knight, Kayla Shumpert, Damien Bartley, Christian Bartley, Natalie Odom and Ryan Weatherill.
The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service.
