Mary Sheppard
BEECHISLAND - Mrs. Mary Daphne Livingston Sheppard, 88, of Beech Island, SC, widow of Mr. James O. Sheppard, entered into rest suddenly on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the comfort of her home.
Born in Steadman, SC and a resident of Aiken County, SC, for the past forty-seven years, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Phillip and Mary Ella Simons Livingston. Having sold Avon in the area for many years, she was known by many people as the "Avon lady". She was a devoted and active member of Augusta First Church of the Nazarene. Miss Mary had a very giving spirit and donated to many charities. She also enjoyed bowling.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children and their spouses, Mary P. Schmitz and late Archie, Beech Island, SC, Beverly Moore and Fred Moore, Beech Island, SC and the late Robbie Blaylock, grandchildren and their spouses Jason Philip and Alicia Powell and Mary Robin and Robert Conner, great-grandchildren, Kryston Powell, Alexis Powell, Philip Powell, Allyson Patricia Conner, Mary Lauren Conner and Aimee Conner and great-great-grandchildren, Mary Anne Penny Havens and John Tyler "Tripp" Wade, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2017, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, at 2 o'clock at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Joseph Lennon will officiate. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Augusta, GA. Pallbearers will be Jason Philip Powell, Sr., Jason Philip Powell, Jr., Ty Livingston, Ken Oglesby, Barry Livingston and Robert Conner.
It has been suggested that if so desired, memorials be made to the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene. (www.augustafirstchurch.org)
