Maudine Brewer Conley
KATHLEEN, GA - Maudine Conley, 87, entered glory on Friday, November 21, 2014.
Maudine was born in Denton, GA on February 9, 1927, a daughter of the late Clayton and Ollie Mae Mathis.
She served God faithfully and was a member of Joyful Life Baptist Church.
Maudine had an exciting and rewarding career as a communications officer with the Foreign Service of the U. S. Department of State, traveling to numerous countries and meeting many dignitaries.
She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Conley; brother, Clayton "Bud" Mathis; and sister, Jeana Quick.
Survivors include daughters, LaDonne O'Connor (Jim) of Aiken, SC and Sherry Wilson (David) of High Point, NC; brothers, Lawton (Glenice), Charles (Ann) and Richard Mathis; sisters, Geraldine McMillan, Oveda Ashley and Lynn Bonnette (Glenn); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Clements Cemetery, Jacksonville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Joyful Life Baptist Church, Kathleen, GA or Heart of Georgia Hospice, Perry, GA.
