Mayo Hudak
AIKEN, SC - Mayo Altman Hudak, widow of Henry Hudak passed away December 10, 2015. Born August 27, 1921 in Charleston, SC to Hugh and Gladys Rountree Altman, raised in Decatur, GA, she graduated from Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville, GA.
She served in the U S Navy during World War II, married Henry Hudak in 1946 and moved to Aiken, SC. She was a member of the Aiken Hospital Auxiliary and Millbrook Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Sandra (Mitch) Thompson of Dacula, GA, Betty Vann of Aiken, and Edward (Kathy) Hudak of Aiken; five grandchildren, Jennifer Vann, Edward Thompson, Joi Petty, Jamie Thompson, and Kevin Lamb; seven great grandchildren and one due in December; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, two sisters, Betty Simpson and Gwen Garrett and one brother, Hugh Altman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one-thirty p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC.
The family will receive friends from one p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
