AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Nell Moore Loftin, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
The family will receive friendsfrom 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, December 21at Shellhouse Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held11:00 AM Friday, December 22at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church with The Rev. Dan A. Wagner, The Rev. Scott Nead and The Rev. Dale Klitzke as Celebrants. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wesley Steece, Kenneth Beasley, Michael Hess, James Denny, Robert Kissiah and Daniel Wilson.
Born in Aiken County, Mrs. Loftin was a daughter of the late Thomas Albert and Ida Matthews Moore.She spent most of her life in Aiken and worked in maintenance administration for Bellsouth Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church. Mrs. Loftin was also a member of Ladies of the Nobles, Aiken County Shrine Club, W.O.W - Wise Outrageous Women of Aiken Regional Hospital and the Morning Glories Bible Study Group.
She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Rhodes (Johnnie) Kissiah, Aiken, Sandra Blackwell (Von), Martinez, GA., Carla Loftin, Aiken; son, Wayne Thomas Loftin, Aiken; five grandchildren; elevengreat-grandchildren and one brother Ralph Thomas Moore of Ridge Spring, SC. She is also survived by her two feline furry companions Frodo and Samwise.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Loftin was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Robinson Loftin; two sisters, Mary Ann Moore Steece and Nancy Moore Knight and two brothers James Harry Moore and Samuel Wesley Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church,1630 Silver Bluff Rd., Aiken, SC 29803or to the Aiken County Shrine Club,1526 Columbia Hwy N, Aiken, SC 29801.
