Patricia Mae Williams
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL - Patricia Mae Oelze Williams, age 82, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida died Tuesday, June 7 at Halifax Health Hospice Port Orange, Florida.
Born in St. Petersburg, Florida July 20, 1933 to Guy Galvert and Opal McKinley Oelze, she attended St. Petersburg High School and St. Petersburg Junior College (now St. Petersburg College) and married Donnie Joe Williams April 9, 1954. In 1977, they moved to New Smyrna Beach from Aiken, South Carolina. A real estate broker, she owned and operated Williams Real Estate as well another family business, the Beachcomber Motel, which they ran for 20 years. Pat and Donnie were active members of Coronado Community United Methodist Church, where Pat sang in the choir for many years. She was a member and past president of Oceanside Women's Club and was a member of the Classy Ladies Investment Club.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie; sons, Robert L. "Bob" Williams and wife, Jill, of Port Orange; Donald Galvert Williams and wife, Fran, of DeLand, Florida, and Thomas Calvin Williams and wife, Sue, of New Smyrna Beach; grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Janelle Homan and husband, Doug, Gabriel Gleason and wife, Tanaia, Jessica Leonard and husband, Matthew, Carrie Williams and Steven Connell,; and great grandchildren, Austin Gleason, Ashley Gleason, Addison Leonard, Grayson Leonard, and Sophia Connell.
A celebration of Pat's life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at Coronado Community United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Laura Berg officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Coronado Community United Methodist Church, 201 South Peninsula, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169.
