GLOVERVILLE, SC - Mrs. Pauline Silas, 88, wife of the late Robert H. "Bobby" Silas, Jr., went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 4th, 2016.
Born in Swainsboro, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Forrest and Ruby Stevens Coleman. She was a dedicated member of Gloverville First Baptist Church and retired from Clearwater Finishing Plant. Mrs. Silas enjoyed crocheting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Dorothy "Dot" Williams, Warrenville, SC and Lynn Silas, Gloverville, SC; siblings, the late Mattie Lenarz, the late Vera Hall, the late Betty Freeman and the late W.C. Coleman, sister-in-law, Betty Dawson, Charleston, SC; wonderful nieces and nephews, Dale Barton, Carol McDaniel, Jeri Wakeley, Clyde Coleman and Bobby C. Hall, grandchildren, Andy Broome and his wife, Alicia, Randy Broome and his wife, Pam, Robert Broome and his wife, Donna, Tonya Turner and Kathy Williamson and her husband, Robbie and Kenny Silas, nineteen great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 6th, 2016, at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastors Jimmy Napier and Brian Adkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Clyde Coleman, Bobby C. Hall, Harry Barton, Anthony McDaniel, Woody Barton, Al Norris and Ray Williamson. Members of the Homebound Ministry are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
