Peggy Turner
CLEARWATER, SC - Mrs. Peggy J. Turner, 86, of Clearwater, SC, wife of the late Mr. Tillman E. Turner, entered into rest on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
Born in Avera, GA, a daughter of the late Tom and Frances Sheppard Faglier, she had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life. She graduated from Langley-Bath High School and had been a member of Clearwater First Baptist since 1950, where she was a member of the Kingdom Seekers Sunday School Class and the Swinging Sixties. She retired from the Townsend Division of the Graniteville Company. Mrs. Turner enjoyed spending time with her family, especially cooking "Southern Dinners", for her family, every Sunday.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Bruce Turner and his wife, Debbie, Gary Turner and his wife, Rita, Ben Atkinson and his wife, Chrissy, all of Clearwater, SC and her only daughter, the late Patricia Turner Atkinson, sister the late Doris Runyan, grandchildren, Nicholas Turner and his wife, Melissa, Neal Turner and his wife, Rachel,
Victoria Turner, Sarah Turner, Grace Atkinson and Claire Atkinson, great-grandchildren, Evyn Mack and Sadie Ella Turner and a very special friend, Gerald Attaway.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 3 o'clock at Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC, with Pastors John Bolin and Charlie Crews officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Mike Turner, Sammie Turner, O'Neil Gregory, Harold Atkinson, Jimmy Hadden and Mike Hadden.
It has been suggested that is so desired, memorials be made to Clearwater First Baptist Church. (www.clearwaterfbc.org)
