BEECH ISLAND, SC - Mr. Rick Lewis, 68, entered into rest on Saturday, January 9th, 2016, in the comfort of his home.
Born in Washington County, GA, a son of the late William James and Bertha Tompkins Lewis, he had been a resident of Waynesboro, GA, prior to making Aiken County, SC, his home in 1989. A "workaholic", he was a Crane Operator with Carolina Crane until his health forced him to retire. Rick was well known for his knowledge of operating a crane. He was a Mason, member of the Operating Engineers and enjoyed horses, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, family members include his children, Marc Lewis, Waynesboro, GA, Lisa Lewis, North Augusta, SC and Christy Lewis, Aiken, SC; siblings, the late Linda Copeland, Loyette Neal and her husband, Don, Milledgevile, GA, James Lewis and his wife, Donna, Austell, GA, Ronald Lewis and his wife, Carol, Harlem, GA and Donald Lewis and his wife, Kathy, Sandersville, GA and grandchildren, Ricky Lewis, Stephen Skinner, Heather Neely,
Tristan Bishop and Sarah Bishop.
In accordance with his wishes, Rick will be cremated and A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 15th, 2016, at 4 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Dexter Lambert officiating.
