GLOVERVILLE - Mr. Ricky R. Hodson, 66, of Gloverville, SC, beloved husband of forty-six years to Mrs. Gail Carver Hodson, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, Ricky retired from AGY after forty-three years of service. He was member of Mid-Valley Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Teller and Usher. Ricky enjoyed Competition Beagle Trials and was a member of the Poplar Branch Beagle Club. He also enjoyed sports and mountain trips with Gail. More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Allie, Breylie, Colbie, Kaylee and Hagen Hodson and let us not forget Easton, who is with PaPa in Heaven!
In addition to his wife and grandchildren, family members include sons and their spouses, Shane and Shannon Hodson, Johnston, SC and Taylor and Ashley Hodson, Warrenville, SC and a sister, Theresa Taylor, Warrenville, SC.
The family will greet friends on Friday, September 29, 2017, from 5 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 4 o'clock at Mid-Valley Baptist Church, Graniteville, SC, with Pastors Stan Adams and Pennye Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC. Pallbearers will be Bill Hamilton, Greg Gibson, Johnny Hodson, Richard Johnson, Buddy Patterson and Robbie Duncan.
The family has suggested that memorials be made to Mid-Valley Baptist Church P.O. Box 1323 Langley, SC 29834.
