Robert Emmett (Bobby) McGeary
AMERICAN FORK, UT - Mr. Robert Emmett (Bobby) McGeary, 79, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 in American Fork, Utah. Bobby was born August 20, 1937 in Corona, Queens, NY to the late Robert Emmett McGeary, Jr. and the late Joyce Louise Reynolds. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, John N. Page, a brother, Gerald R. McGeary, two sisters, Joan Marie McGeary, and Dorothy Page Edeburn. Soon after the passing of Bobby's father in 1946, his mother married John N. Page of Aiken, SC. The family left New York early 1948 and moved to Aiken. Bobby graduated from Aiken High School in 1958, married his high school sweetheart, Linda L. Howard on January 27, 1962. They both worked hard, played hard, and raised a beautiful family together.
Bobby is survived by his son, Robert A. (Tony) McGeary (Brenda), two daughters, Terri Julkunen (Harry) and Laura Michelle Ward. He was loved immensely by his 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Bobby had a well-known philosophy; "You can't put a price on a good time." He lived this out daily and those who knew him were always in for a good time. Bobby had great love for many things here on this earth. A few of his favorites included reading, gardening, cooking, teaching, a good conversation, and sitting on the porch listening to Otis Redding. He is also survived by two brothers, Thomas L. McGeary and John N. Page, Jr. (Laura) both of Aiken, two sisters, Mary Jane Denny (Thomas) of Elberton, Ga. and Frances P. Sampson (Charles), Hilton Head, SC.
