Funeral Services for Mr. Ronald E. Deese, 78, who entered into rest May 30, 2015, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. James D. Dennis, Jr. officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens with Veterans Honors rendered by the American Legion, Jesse C. Lynch Memorial Post #71.
Mr. Deese was a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, having made North Augusta his home for the past 45 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Cokesbury Sunday School Class and the American Legion, Jesse C. Lynch Memorial Post # 71. Mr. Deese was retired from Federal Textile Engravers, Inc. and was a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Deese was preceded in death by two children, Kenneth Deese and Crystal Carter.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Shirley P. Deese; one son, Tommy Deese, Charlotte, NC; one daughter, Barbara Rushton, Charlotte, NC; three step-sons, Dell Hadden and his wife Carolyn, Keith Tapley and David Tapley; all of North Augusta; one step-daughter, Sherri Pettigrew, North Augusta, SC; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Cokesbury Sunday School Class. Active Pallbearers will be Keith
Tapley, Walt Campbell, Barry Head, Donny Hufham, Clay Hadden and Dell Hadden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
