Rosalyn L. Jackson
AIKEN, SC - Ms. Rosalyn Louisa Jackson, age 60, of 746 Palm Drive passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 4, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church, 515 Richland Ave E with Rev. Clinton Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Rosalyn was born in 1955 as an outgoing, friendly, and nurturing person. She joined Old Rosemary Baptist Church as a child and later Friendship Baptist Church. She was a 1973 graduate of Aiken High School. Rosalyn worked tirelessly for her community at Aiken County Community Action Agency for many years. She also worked at Savannah River Site and lastly at Aiken County Court House.
She was preceded in death: by her mother, Bertha Jackson Stalling; her brother, Ronald J. Jackson; and maternal grandfather, James Priester.
Rosalyn was cherished by: her daughter, Shiitte (Shi) Evans (Col. Lillard D. Evans) ; her grandchildren, Thandie "Savannah" Evans and Noah Joshua Evans; her siblings, Phillip Priester, Jimmie (Debra) Priester, Timothy Jackson, Mavrick Jackson, Richard (Cindy) Jackson and John A. Williams; her grandmother, Louise Priester; other relatives and friends.
