BEECH ISLAND, SC - Mrs. Ruby Della Gay Skillman Eubanks, 87, wife of the late Dennis Skillman and the late Leroy Eubanks, Jr., entered into rest on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014, in the comfort of her home under the loving care of Trinity Hospice.
Born in Richmond County, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, since 1965, she was a daughter of the late Florence and Willie Rickerson Gay. She was a member of Faith Bible Chapel and retired from Tiny Tot Child Care after twenty-six years of service. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and being around children.
In addition to her husbands and parents, family members include children, Betty (Gary) Stephens, Della Walden, Vivian (Jeff) Tapley, James Skillman, Bobby Skillman, Donnie Skillman, Ricky (Brenda) Skillman, the late Nina Angell, the late Randy Skillman and the late Danny Skillman, siblings, the late Edwin Gay, the late Freddie Gay, the late James Gay, Dan Gay, Brooklet, GA, the late Hazel Beckwith, Evelyn Brown, Harlem, GA and Ruth Hill, Augusta, GA; twenty five grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2014, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Brother Ray Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, GA. Pallbear-ers will be Anthony Walden, Cody Cauthen, Randy Skillman, Todd Sawin, Mark Skillman, Kenneth Turner and James Hornsby.
If so desired, memorials may be made to Trinity Hospice.
The family will greet friends this evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
