Ruth H. Evancic
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth H. Evancic, 84, who entered into rest February 20, 2014, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Pastor Roy Butler officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Evancic was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, having made North Augusta her home for over 40 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Lydia Project. Mrs. Evancic was the loving and devoted wife of over 65 years to Norman J. Evancic. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Evancic had a gift for sewing and was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Bagnall.
Survivors in addition to her husband include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Bev Evancic, Idaho Falls, ID and Bob and Linda Evancic, Grovetown, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jeff Kirkpatrick, Aiken, SC; a brother, Harry Heydorn, Richland, OH; four grandchildren, Jason Kirkpatrick (Kara), Brian Evancic (Monique), Scott Kirkpatrick (Laura) and Matt Evancic (Erica); six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Kirkpatrick, Jason Kirkpatrick, Scott Kirkpatrick, Wayne Linguiti, Mark Tomko, Jr., and Chris Fisher.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the JMS Burn Unit, Doctors Hospital, 3675 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Augusta, GA 30909 or to the , PO BOX 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
