Sara Cooper Davis
AIKEN, SC - Sara Cooper Davis, 85, widow of Richard Charles Davis, Sr., died Monday, August 1, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Union, SC, Sara was a daughter of the late Ozzie and Bernice Allman Cooper. She lived in Aiken since 1953 and retired from the Savannah River Site. Sara was the oldest of nine children. She was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Terry C. Kitchings; two sons, Ashley Cole and Chuck Davis, all of Aiken; a grandson, Dylan Davis; three sisters, Joretta Black, Merritt Island, FL, Ola Jane Hooper, Pelzer, SC, Cheryl Hood (George), West Pelzer, SC and a brother, Everette Cooper, Irmo, SC.
The family will receive friends Thursday morning beginning at 11 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at Noon with The Rev. Dr. Henry L. Chennault officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
