"Nanny" Rabun
WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Sara Emma Rabun, 92, known as "Nanny", wife of the late Erastus "Ras" Rabun, entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Saturday, August 16th, 2014, under the excellent care of Trinity Hospice with her devoted family at her side.
Born in Sycamore, GA, a daughter of the late Doss and Sara Ellerbee Howard, she had been a resident of Aiken County most of her life. She retired from the Granite Division of Graniteville Company after thirty-six years of service. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church. Mrs. Rabun loved her family dearly.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include a daughter, Linda E. Jowers, Warrenville, SC; grandchildren, Keith (Donna) Jowers and Dana (Brad) Chambers, great-grandchildren, Daryl Waldrup, Allie Blissit, William Jowers, Dillon Jowers and Sara Jowers and a great-grandson, Lane Waldrup. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014, at 2 o'clock at Christian Heritage Church, Graniteville, SC, with Pastor Stephen Phillips and Pastor Jody Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Keith Jowers, Daryl Waldrup, William Jowers, Dillon Jowers, Brad Chambers and Bo New.
