Sarah R. Stone
North Augusta, S.C. - Mrs. Sarah R. Stone, 85, wife of the late Raymond C. Stone, Sr., entered into rest on Friday, June 6th, 2014.
Born in Dillon County, SC and an area resident since 1964, she was a daughter of the late John Floyd and Eugenia Wise Richardson. She was a Registered Nurse at the former Aiken County Hospital and retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center, where she was a receipt of the "Nurse of the Year" award. A member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, she was involved in the Strom Fellowship. She was a caring lady who was full of compassion and would check the blood pressure of the members of the Strom Fellowship when they met. She enjoyed gardening and dogs held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include sons, the late Raymond C. Stone, Jr., Richard (Terri) Stone, Rowland (Teresa) Stone and Howard Keith Stone, all of North Augusta, SC and the late John A. Stone, siblings, Edward Richardson, Latta, SC, Phil Richardson, Aberdeen, NC, Eugenia R. Phillips, Marion, SC, the late John Floyd Richardson, Jr., the late Robert E. Richardson, the late Dew Percy "Dick" Richardson, the late Alan Farrell Richardson, the late Margaret May Canty and the late Virginia Joy Richardson, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 9th, 2014, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Roy Kiser officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Dayton Stone, Jamey Stone, Josh Stone, Bruce Stone, Kevin Hazel and Ray Redd.

Friends will be greeted by the family on Monday from noon until the time of service at
