Mrs. Sharron Smith Millsap
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Sharron Smith Millsap, 53, of Sunset Circle, North Augusta, SC, who heard God calling her name November 5, 2014, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Dr. Gary Powell and Chaplain Levarn Harris officiating.
Sharron was born on July 20, 1961 in Sandersville, Washington County, Georgia to Dorriel Eugenia Arrington Smith and William Frank Smith, and was educated in Washington County Schools. She was baptized and attended Josey Baptist Church in Bartow, GA and was presently a member of Cedar Creek Church in Aiken, SC. Mrs. Millsap was employed for 26 years in the Long Term Care Industry, having completed her professional career as the Community Relations Director with Alliance Hospice. Sharron was extremely active as a community volunteer, enjoyed traveling and being outdoors tending to her many gardens.
Mrs. Millsap was married February 16, 1991 to a wonderful loving husband, Donald Lester Millsap, formerly of Tulsa Oklahoma. They did not have any children, but she loved everyone's children and all of God's precious animals. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Millsap, her mom, Dorriel Eugenia Smith, Stapleton, GA; two sisters, Barbara Smith Brown (Henry), Evans, GA and Kathy Smith Saumweber (Marty), Martinez, GA; a nephew, David Keith Brown (Lisa); a niece, Laura Saumweber Ward (Sam); a special family member, Steve Rockland Dupree, II; aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws; and many other Millsap and Smith family relatives and special friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her cousins, Joan Dey, Debbie Dupree, Janet Lindsey, Connie Joyner and Karen Arrington.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening from 6 until 8.
