NEW ELLENTON, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. Stephen Frank Hoffman, I, age 57 will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Grace Covenant Church of God with Rev. Edgar N. Foster, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC with Military honors accorded by the Naval Ceremonial Team.
Mr. Hoffman entered into rest peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Downtown Division, Augusta, GA. He was a native of Columbia, SC and had made Aiken County his home for the past 13 years.
Mr. Hoffman was a son of the late William Otis Hoffman, Sr. and the late Mrs. Louise Marie Hoffman. He was a graduate of the Camden Military School, Camden, SC, and a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Navy stationed on the USS Enterprise.
He was a member of the Disable American Veterans chapter #44, Augusta, GA , and a member of Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton, SC where he was very active in the Men and Women of Action of the Church of God.
Survivors include one son, Stephen Frank Hoffman, II, Navarre Beach, Florida; one daughter, Elizabeth Marie (James, Jr.) Blackmon, Ozark, AL; two brothers, William Otis Hoffman, Jr., Cayce, SC, Otis Stanley Hoffman, Mobile, AL; three sisters, Diane Hoffman, Charlotte, NC, Deborah Althea Hoffman, Newport News, VA, Sandra Donna Hoffman, Windsor, VA; one grandchild, Mason Blackmon.
Pallbearers will be Stephen F. Hoffman, II, Jessie Lewallen, Johnny Pridgen, Stan Hoffman, David Dyer, and Roger Gay.
