WILLISTON, SC - Funeral Services for Syble Patricia Jowers Greene, 82, of Williston, SC will be held four p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be sent to the -Midlands Area Office, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 210, Columbia, SC 29210 or Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10022. Syble passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016.
Born in Williston, SC she was a daughter of the late Talbert Joseph Jowers, Sr. and Lizzie Hair Jowers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williston and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked at Savannah River Site for 11 years and was a nurse for Dr. Gantt for 28 years; after she retired from nursing she loved being a caretaker for many other people; she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn (Lloyd) Morgan of Springfield; son, Joey (Hope) Greene of Williston; grandchildren, Sara (Ricky) Vereen, Matthew Greene, Anna Beth Morgan; great-grandchildren, Sierra Vereen, Savanna Vereen and Paityn Greene; brother, Quinby (Jane) Jowers of Williston; sister, Linda (Bruce) Bates of Williston; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Jowers, Katherine "Dan" Jowers; caregiver, Cynthia Holman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Talula Bennett, Helen Greene, Elizabeth "Lib" Boyleston; brothers, Marvin Jowers, Robert Lee Jowers, Tollie Jowers, Talbert Joseph "T.J." Jowers, Jr.
