Theda Jean Higgenbottom Thomas
RIDGE SPRING, SC - Mrs. Theda Jean Higgenbottom Thomas, 79, wife of the late L.J. Thomas, entered into rest on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she as a daughter of the late Oscar and Winnie Huff Higgenbottom. She was a member of the former Vaucluse Church of God and was a Homemaker. Theda Jean enjoyed quilting, embroidering and canning. More than anything however, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Larry (Dayle) Thomas, Pelion, SC, Sherry (Glenn) Hill, Ridge Spring, SC, Brenda (Chester) Williams, Montmorenci, SC Barry "Tommy" Thomas, Graniteville, SC and the late Tarry (Sarah) Thomas, St. Amant, LA; siblings, Jewell (David) Nash, Aiken, SC, Debbie (David) Holley, Aiken, SC, Jane (Frank) Schibik, New Ellenton, SC, Claudean Rushton, Batesburg, SC, Danny Higgenbottom, TX, the late Addie Bryant, the late Jimmy Higgnebottom and the late Dina Mae Higgenbottom, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and one due in May.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015, at 2 o'clock in Ridge Spring Cemetery, Ridge Spring, SC. Pallbearers will be Chris McCarty, Steve Carpenter, CJ Kneece, Jayson Rayborn, Ches Williams, and Amanda Whaley.
