GySgt. Thomas Arthur Kraak
AIKEN, SC - GySgt. Thomas Arthur Kraak, 80, United States Marine Corps Retried, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, and a resident of San Diego County, CA, until sixteen years ago, he was a son of the late Paul and Estelle Korenkiewicz Kraak. GySgt. Kraak retired from the United States Marine Corps after twenty years of dedicated service, serving honorably in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following his retirement from the Corps be began his second career as an Editorial/Photo Journalist. He enjoyed photography, fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers. More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, family members include a daughter, Cherie Trevino, Aiken, SC; brother, Russell Kraak, Parhumph, NV; grandchildren, Zachary Cornell and Katelin Cornell and great-grandchildren, Aiden Cornell and Zyla Jones.
In accordance with his wishes, GySgt. Kraak will be cremated and his cremains will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery.
It has been requested that if so desired, memorials in his memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)
