Tonya Swearingen
AIKEN - Ms. Tonya Marie Swearingen, 48, of Aiken, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, September 21st, 2017.
A lifelong resident of the CSRA, she was a daughter of Richard C. and Frances Rice Swearingen, Aiken, SC. She was a graduate of the University of Miami. Tonya was formerly with the Aiken County Solicitors Office Victims Assistance Program, was a member of Faith Riders Fellowship, Toastmasters, the SC Writers Association and the ARMC Hospital Auxiliary. Tonya was well known in the area for dog sitting for numerous people.
In addition to her parents, family members include a daughter, Ariel Marie Smith, Topeka, KS; a sister and her husband, Sonya Bishop and her husband, Frank, Jr., Pelion, SC, a nephew and niece, Justin and Courtney Bishop, her former husband, Scott Smith, Topeka, KS and let us not forget her four-legged child, Harry.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, September 24th, 2017, beginning at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3 o'clock in the chapel. Pastor Jack Atkinson will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the ARMC Auxiliary.
