Tyris James "TJ" Burns
WARRENVILLE, SC - Tyris James "TJ" Burns, 86, widower of Thelma Julia Reames Burns, of Warrenville, SC, died March 8, 2015.
Born May 15, 1928 in Aiken County, he was one of 12 children born to the late John C. Burns and Daisy Miller Burns.
He was a resident of Aiken County for the past 50+ years. He was retired from Graniteville Company after 40 years and was a former member of Howlandville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his siblings, Ernest Burns, Bill Burns, Othell Burns, JC "Red" Burns, George Burns, Edith Williams, Alice Mock, Eunice Usher, Lillie Bell and Daisy Davis.
He is survived by his sister Louise Burns Otts of Harlem, GA and several nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 1-2PM at Hatcher Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Ken Klingler officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Bell, Max Burns, Jim Mock, John Mock, John Otts, and Joe Usher.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School class.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorials be made in his memory to the .
