Moncks Corner - Vendle"Jean" Hayes, 73, of Moncks Corner, widow of Dorsey T. Hayes, Sr., passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Trident Medical Center.
Friends and family may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock PM. Funeral Services will be held at Tall Pines Baptist Church, 645 Treeland Drive, Ladson on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2 o'clock PM. Burial will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
Flowers will be accepted.
Jean was born on November 20, 1940 in Timmonsville, SC daughter of the late Albert Timmons and Vendle (Matthews) Timmons.
Surviving are: four children: Dorsey T. Hayes, Jr. (Tracy) of Moncks Corner, Sandy Yates (Billy) of Summerville, Vickie Hayes of Moncks Corner and Peter Hayes (Chelsea) of Moncks Corner; four grandchildren: BW Yates, Jr., Steven Yates (Michelle), Kaitlyn Lenart and Caylee Hayes; one great granddaughter: Greenleigh Yates; one sister: Lula Mae Defee of Moncks Corner. She was predeceased by six brothers, Watson Timmons, Albert L. Timmons, Jessie Byrd Timmons, Dallas E. Timmons, Hubert E. Timmons and Charleston Henry Timmons and one sister, Susie Bell Pierce.
