Vera Sain Guzman
WILLISTON, SC - A Memorial Service for Vera Sain Guzman, 90, of Williston, SC will be held four pm Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Cindy Fuller officiating.
The family will receive friends from two-thirty until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Williston United Methodist Church, 6030 Springfield Road, Williston, SC 29853 or to a .
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Gordon and the nursing staff on the 3rd floor at the Aiken Regional Medical Center for their love, care and compassion shown during their mothers stay.
Vera passed away Sunday January 31, 2016.
Born in Bowman, SC she was a daughter of the late William C. Sain and Texas Rickenbaker Sain.
After graduating high school Vera went to work, to support her country during the war, at the Charleston Naval yard. While living in St. George, she met her husband, the late Clifford Ray Guzman.
She loved working in her yard and everyone enjoyed watching her beautiful flowers grow. She was an avid bridge player, having played in several clubs. She worked as a customer service representative for C & S Bank and was a member of the Williston United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Hamilton and Dallas McPhee of Statesboro, Ga.; Charles E Guzman and Roxann of Orangeburg, SC; two grandchildren, Charles Nicholas (Kelly) Guzman, of Aiken and Kelly R. Guzman of Orangeburg; great-grandchildren, Ava, Will, Kinley; her buddy Sam the cat, neighbors and friends Don and Joyce Grice and all the wonderful ladies in the bridge club.
