Wayne T. Byars
AIKEN, SC - A Graveside Funeral service for Wayne T. Byars, 72, of Aiken, SC will be held eleven a.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Aiken, SC with the Reverend Keith Ussery officiating.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3925 Shiloh Church Road, Aiken, SC 29805. Wayne passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 due to an apparent heart attack.
Born in Windsor, SC he was a son of the late John B. Byars and Inez Youngblood Byars and was married to the late Elizabeth Inez Byars. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He retired from the South Carolina Public School System where he worked in the Bus Maintenance Shop.
Survivors include siblings Wendell B. Byars, Elspye B. Johnson, Myra B. Ridgeway, Beverly Jean Byars and John Edward Byars; a step-daughter Hope Barnhill Paradise and a step-son Michael David Barnhill. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Byars Gray.
