William Allen
BOCA RATON, FL - William Elmore Allen went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2016. He was 69 years old. He was born on August 13, 1947, the eldest of four children born to Elmo and Hattie Mae Allen in Aiken, SC. He attended public schools graduating with honors and as class president from Martha Schofield High School in 1965. Later he received a football scholarship to Hampton University in Hampton, VA where he lettered as a football star. After college, he enlisted in the United Sates Navy and became a Master Chief, then retired after 30 years of faithful and honorable service in 1997. He continued his education to become a minister. He went on to enjoy a career in the United States Postal Service prior to retiring in Boca Raton, FL with his wife Eulita.

Angela (Allen) Parham and her husband Thomas of Fairfax, VA; his four sons Antonio Gourdine and his wife Gemma of Jacksonville, FL; Mark Allen and his wife Stephanie of Lexington, SC; Carlos Chisholm of Stockhton, CA; and Rasheck Upson of Palm Coast, FL; his sister Barbara Ann Gardner of Chesapeake, VA and his brother Claude Allen of Waldorf, MD. Master Chief Allen is also survived by ten beautiful and talented grandchildren as well as nieces, Kristin, Theresa, and Shari and nephews, Sean, Christopher, and Effrum and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Chapel at 2401 West Cypress Creek Rd Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 on Saturday, November 26th at 2:00 pm. An on-location reception will immediately follow the service. A graveside service with full military honors, to include escort platoon, military band and gun salute is scheduled at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia and will be announced upon final confirmation of date and time.
