William Frank Martin
AIKEN, SC - Mr. William "Frank" Martin, 81, husband of the late Gladys B. Martin and the late Vida Martin, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015, in the comfort of his home, with his family at his side.
Born in Columbia County, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Bailey Baxley and Louise Rowland Martin.
He retired from S.R.S. after thirty-nine years of service as a Production Operator, was a dedicated member of Talatha Baptist Church, and was a member of Pairs and Spares and the Millbrook Sunday School Travel Club. Mr. Martin enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and hanging out with the Popeye's Breakfast Group. More than anything however, he enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his wives and parents, family members include his children, William Glenn Martin and his wife, Debbie, Bristol, TN, Rita Martin Davis and her husband, George, Aiken, SC, Roger Allen Martin and his wife, Angie, Aiken, SC and Donna Gail Graham and her husband, Charles, Jr., Aiken, SC; step-children, Mary Rowland Chambers and her husband, Chucky, New Ellenton, SC, Jenny Lamb, New Ellenton, SC and the late James Steven Rowland, siblings, Leonard Terry Martin, Augusta, GA, Myrtle Todd, Camak, GA, Ernestine Pulliam, Greensboro, NC, the late Glenda Kaye Smith and the late Edward Martin, grandchildren, Josh, Nikki, Papi, Morgan, Adam, Haley, Andrew, Brandi, Chas, Rachael, Graydon, Summer, Greg, James and the late Patricia and great-grands, Brandon, Jasmin, Keri, Gary, Skyler, Ava, Gianna, Julian, Mia, Mae, Winter, Bradley, Waylon, Ellee, Heather, Micah and Jordyn.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 3rd, 2015, at 3 o'clock at Talatha Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Pastors Brancie Stephens and Dale Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Andrew Krauss, Graydon Chambers, Philip Martin, Robert Martin, Chuck Martin and Adam Martin.
Members of the Popeye's Breakfast Club will serve as Honorary Pallbearers,
Mr. Martin will be placed in the church at 2 o'clock on Sunday.
