Alden Ray Riemenschneider Obituary
Alden Ray Riemenschneider of Denver, Colorado passed away June 12,
2015, at the age of 78. Diagnosed with severe C.O.P.D. in 2002 which
caused him to live a limited life style and activities. Born June 6,
1937 to John and Dora Riemenschneider of Thurman Colorado.
Alden grew up in the Thurman community with his three brothers & four
sisters. In 1934 the family moved onto the original homestead where
his grandparents live their lived.
He completed his schooling by graduating from Lindon High School in
1955. Acquired a certification for residential locksmith in 1980 from
Belsaw Folley. Took a computer maintenance course at Frontrange
College in 2002 for his own use and peace of mind.
Alden worked for the local farmers in the Thurman & Anton community
until 1959. He moved to Englewood, Colo. where he was employed by the
C. A. Norgren Company.
On August 23, 1959 Alden was united in marriage to Helen Louise Chase
of Flagler, Colorado. Three children were born to this union. Gary
Allen, Valerie Louise, and James Alden.
Alden accepted a full time second shift foreman position with Teledyne
Technologies in April of 1977, where he worked until the consolidation
of small companies in 1994 which closed the Densco plant in Denver.
Alden returned to IMI Ltd. former Norgren Co. working as a diecast
cell operator until his retirement in April 2003.
He was proceeded in death by his father and mother; son Gary; daughter
Valerie; his wife, Helen; brother, Vernon; sister, Rozella; three
brothers-in-law, Jay Wyman, Alvin Jefferson and Robert Schenk; nephew,
Steven Wyman; and two nieces, Judy Wyman and Verna Riemenschneider.
Survivors include son, James and America Riemenschneider of Denver,
CO; six grandsons; and ten great-grandchildren, Allen and Linsay
(Jacob, Damian, Mckenzie, Caleb) Riemenschneider of Thornton, CO, Luke
and Kalee (Jocelynn, Keira) Riemenschneider of Westminster, CO, Travis
Bloomer (Heaven, Noah, Nicole) of Denver, CO, Justin and Katie (Blake)
Riemenschneider of Georgia, Nichlas Riemenschneider of California,
Eduardo Riemenschneider of Denver, CO; three sisters, Dorthy Schenk of
Akron, CO, Wildia Wyman of West Fork, Arkansas, and Opal Jefferson of
Akron, CO; two brothers, Verle of Lindon, CO, and Donald of Flagler,
CO; and numerous relatives and friends.
