August 16, 1953. Three children were born to this union, Terry, Val
and Shelley.
Gene worked at the ASC Office in the late 1950's and from there, he
went to work for Hall Grain Company, as the office manager for 11
years. He then worked as manager of the Colorado Beef Co. Feedlot for
four years, prior to becoming the "area man" for Y-W Electric Co. in
the Anton area. Gene worked for Y-W Electric until he retired in 1990.
Gene's favorite pastime included fishing, hunting, camping buying,
selling and trading guns, playing golf, makine pens and feeding his
squirrels in the backyard. He especially enjoyed family reunions and
spending time with his grandchildren.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Allene Carlson
and Ruby Berner; and his brothers, Raymond and LaDean.
