Linda Kay (Kinnison) Hardamon Obituary
Linda Kay Hardamon was born January 13, 1951 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Berchie Lee Kinnison and Wilma Aileen Hicks. She attended various schools, including Woodlin, graduating from South High School in Denver in 1969. She enjoyed singing in the choir and even made a record with her class and had a little solo in it.
She married Randy Rambat in 1972 and to this union twin daughters, Kamie Ann and Aimee Lynn, were born on April 17, 1975. Linda always dreamed of having two girls. She would say, "I got what I wanted with one try. I am good; you two were all I ever needed".
Linda enjoyed camping and fishing with the girls. She loved parking the boat on the trailer and catching fish, but wasn't big on cleaning them. She loved dancing with friends, but due to back?problems too early in life, she had to give that up. She was a very talented artist. Aimee has many paintings from her mom which she will cherish forever.
Linda was able to travel to Australia and Barbetos. Getting to do those two trips was a highlight in her life, having gotten the chance to see a bit of the world. Anywhere she traveled, she enjoyed collecting jewelry and always bought at least once piece. Sharing the stories of where each piece came from with her daughter was always something she loved to do.
When the internet became something big, Linda was eager to learn everything she could about it. She later started playing Facebook games. She made many friends over the years online. One of those friends she had over 20 years. They never met in person, but that didn't matter to them, they even had their own special language.
Linda moved to Aurora, Illinois from Colorado in 2000. She worked at Fermilab as an Administrative Assistant until she retired in 2014. She then moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with her daughter and her family until the time of her death on September 4, 2016.?   She was preceded in death by both of her parents; a sister, Gloria Jean; her daughter, Kamie Ann; and ex-husband, Randy.?   She leaves to mourn brother Ron and wife Nancy Kinnison of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter Aimee and husband Arron Hofmeister, grandson Colton, granddaughter Meranda and grandson Brandon all of Indianapolis, Indiana; granddaughter Adrianna of North Platte, Nebraska; grandsons Riley and Reese Hofmeister of Yuma, Colorado; Ryan, Ranessa and Leaura Basler; Ashley Overturf; Andrew Burton; Brooke Helmberger; Erica Helmberger; Megan Richardson; Erin Richardson; Grace Rogue; Melany Richardson; along with many other family and friends.?   A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Akron Cemetery gazebo.  Following the service, there was a luncheon at the Y-W Community Room. Memorial donations may be made to the Bowin Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
