Rosa Eileen (Balhorst) Dalton Obituary
Rosa Eileene Dalton of Denver, Co., most recently residing in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away at St. John's Medical Center, in Tulsa, OK, on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the of age 97.
She was born in La Junta, CO on May 21, 1918 to Richard and Iva Ballhorst. Eileene's mother remarried and her mother was named Iva Fertig.
Eileene's sister, Helen Ballhorst, preceded her in death.
Eileene grew up in Fort Lupton, C0. She met her husband Lyle Dalton while living  in Akron, CO and they were married October 7, 1939.
Lyle Dalton preceded her in death on December 24, 1978.
Eileene and Lyle owned and managed a Conoco Filling Station in Akron, CO for several years. They then decided to move to Denver, CO where they bought and ran a creamery store. They ran the store for several years, until Eileene's husband decided to become a tile setter which enabled Eileene to be a full time homemaker and mother raising their three children. 
Eileene was a devoted Christian and attended Denver First Wesleyan Church, Spirit Church in Bartlesville, and was a member of Grange Club.
Eileene is survived by her three children, Delores Benoit and her husband Charlie, Royal Dalton, and Dan Dalton and his wife Roxanne; six grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.
Eileene lived in Denver, CO until 2013, when she moved in with her son Dan Dalton in Bartlesville, OK.
Visitation was held Saturday September 26, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. and funeral services were held Tuesday September 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Ave. in Wheat ridge, CO. Interment was held at Fort Logan National Cemetary at 1:00 p.m., following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the new building fund of Spirit Church, 900 S. Dewey, Bartlesville, OK 74003.
