Rosemary A. (Cox) Taper Obituary
Rosemary Taper, 86 of Akron, passed away on May 8, 2015 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, Colorado. Rosemary Taper was born October 16, 1928 in Dacono, Colorado to Floyd D. and Mary Eunice (Brunker) Graves. Their home was in the living quarters in the back of the Drug & Used Furniture Store owned by Floyd. Rosemary's older brother, Glen Edward and sister DeBerta May made the family complete. They lived there until June 1933 when they moved to Akron, Colorado.
Rosemary graduated from Akron High School, and attended Business college in Colorado Springs, CO, where Rosemary meet Herman Lewis Taper, a US Army soldier, they married and made there home in Deltaville, VA where two of there children were born, James (Jim) Glen and Mary Delew were born. Rosemary and the family return to Akron where Jerry Duane was born. Rosemary was a homemaker and worked in the Akron community for many years. She was very proud of her children and grand children's military service.
Rosemary's Christian faith and values were an important part of her daily life. All who knew her recognized and will remember her honesty and integrity, her sincere concern and consideration for others. The enduring values live on in the hearts and lives of her children whom she loved so dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister DeBerta. She is survived by her 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, her brother Glen, and several cousins.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bowin Funeral Home in Akron. Inurnment will follow at the Akron Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Akron Church of Christ.
