Wendale M. Graves Obituary
Wendale Graves born to Clarence Banner and Agnus Mamie Kennemer-Graves at the home place on February 2nd, 1934 passed away on October 7th at his home peacefully surrounded by many family members.
Wendale moved to Akron, CO in 1954 from his home in Dill City, OK where he was born and raised.  He met and married Glenda Louis Moots and had 3 daughters: Kay, Debbie, and Gwen. Wendale worked at the Experiment Station while running his own business Graves Insulating and Roofing.  Wendale's life was changed forever in 1979 when he fell off the court house in Akron, CO while roofing, met his future wife Betty Golden and became a grandfather for the first time. He then retired from the Experiment Station and sold his business then began working for the Town of Akron Weed District, was a Bus Driver, as well as did many other jobs here in town and was an active member of the Elks.  Wendale was a hard worker, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will not only be missed by his family but the many people of this community and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father and mother, 2 brothers, 1 sister and his wife Betty. Wendale leaves behind 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, 3 bothers and many nieces and nephews. 
A funeral service was held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Washington County Event Center.  There will be a private family inurnment at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Elks Lodge.
